Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program (MSOT), College of Health Professions at Pace University.

I am pleased to introduce our new hybrid entry-level MSOT weekday program. Our goal is to prepare students to become competent and ethical OT practitioners who maximize clients’ quality of life through technology, evidence-based, client-centered, and interprofessional practice. Our curriculum emphasizes four major themes including a) Evidence-based Practice and Scholarship, b) Occupation-centered and Client-centered Approach, c) Ethics and Interprofessional Practice, and d) Innovation and Technology. Students can complete the didactic coursework and clinical fieldwork education within 28 months.

We offer students opportunities to collaborate with other disciplines to learn interprofessionally and develop innovative projects. Our state-of-the-art laboratories, including a model OT apartment and the College of Health Professions Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation, provide students hands-on simulated living and valuable learning experiences.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our unique program and what we have to offer.

I hope you will join us and let us be part of your success.

Sincerely,

John Damiao, PhD, OTR/L
