Program Mission
The mission of the Pace University, College of Health Professions, and Physician Assistant Studies Program - Pleasantville is to educate a diverse graduate student body providing an academically rigorous learning environment that promotes the intellectual, personal, and professional growth of our students. The faculty and staff will imbue these qualities and facilitate the development of a learning community that supports the training of quality physician assistants with attributes including lifelong learning, service orientation, and an emphasis on primary care. The faculty, staff and students will demonstrate the knowledge, attitudes, and understanding to function in diverse communities, populations and settings, and to treat all patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Program Vision
To foster a quality academic environment where students and faculty are stimulated to excel by an educational process that provides our post-graduate learners with the necessary academic, clinical, professional, interpersonal and technical skills to function competently, confidently, compassionately and efficiently as culturally sensitive primary care providers.
About the College of Health Professions
Established in 2010, the College of Health Professions (CHP) at Pace University offers a broad range of programs at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels. It is the College's goal to create innovative and complex programs that reflect the changing landscape of the health care system.
These programs are designed to prepare graduates for impactful careers in health care practice, health-related research, or as educators, and equip graduates to work in health policy and global health fields. Students in clinical programs receive hands-on training in The Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation and have the opportunity to apply their developing skills in real-world settings at many of the regions' leading clinical facilities.
