Kayla is the Program Manager in the Public Interest Law Center (PILC). Kayla supports and facilitates PILC’s operations and programs, assists in coordinating the law school’s public service summer funding program, and handles administration for the law school’s and students’ participation in several major public interest career fairs. Kayla also assists in organizing and publicizing public service law programs and maintains PILC’s visibility within the law school and in the wider legal community and marketplace by engaging with public service employers and participating in various external and internal programs and events.

Prior to joining the Public Interest Law Center, Kayla worked as a Public Interest Legal Fellow at Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, LLP in Washington, D.C. In this role, Kayla represented whistleblowers across various industries, wrote two amicus briefs that were filed in the United States Supreme Court, and wrote related articles that were published on J.D. Supra and New York University Law’s Compliance and Enforcement Blog.

Kayla graduated from Loyola University Maryland and received her law degree and Advanced Certificate in Health Law and Policy from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. As a law student at Pace, Kayla served as President of the Public Interest Law Students Organization and Secretary of the Health Law Society for two years.
