Since its founding in 1976, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University has provided an excellent legal education to students who have a passion for the law. Housed on the University’s campus in White Plains, New York, Haub Law has over 9,000 alumni around the world. The school maintains a unique philosophy and approach to legal education that strikes an important balance between practice and theory.
We believe that a great legal education must teach more than statutes, regulations, and case law. Students must also gain concrete practice skills and begin to learn the strategies and tactics of representation.
As legal practice becomes ever more specialized, ever more complex and ever more competitive, our distinctive approach is more important than ever. Haub Law is home to the #1 ranked Environmental Law program in the nation, as well as many other outstanding programs in many fields of legal practice. We continue to build on our historic strength of training practice-ready lawyers through our field placement programs and nationally recognized clinics, including our Energy and Climate Center, Investor Rights Clinic, Food and Farm Business Law Clinic, Land Use Law Center, Criminal Justice Institute, and Women’s Justice Center. The result is a “Path to Practice” curriculum that prepares our graduates to deliver value to firms and to clients.
We are proud that the strength of our curriculum is enhanced by our diverse community. Each student brings unique perspectives and ideas to our classrooms and our programs.
Haub Law’s unique "Path to Practice" curriculum, our superb location in the heart of the nation's most dynamic legal marketplace, our commitment to providing the best possible education at an exceptional value to students, and our nationally-recognized centers of excellence set Haub Law apart.
