About BAILE
The Brazil-American Institute for Law and Environment (BAILE) is a non-profit research, teaching and policy center dedicated to building and fostering the relationship between the United States and Brazil in their shared goal of environmental protection and sustainable development. BAILE’s mission is to work to improve environmental protection and to foster more effective environmental laws through research, education, and advocacy.
Brazil-American Collaborations
Established in 2008, BAILE is housed and supported by the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in New York, a proud member of the Brazil-American Chamber of Commerce, and maintains extensive relationships with many partner Universities in Brazil.
BAILE offers Summer Programs and supplemental courses in both Brazil and the U.S. designed for legal practitioners from across the world to gather and learn about specific topics in environmental law.
Our faculty have a significant history of work in Brazil and are committed to Brazil's future. They regularly participate in Brazilian conferences, lecturing on both environmental and international law issues.
