Career Counseling

We are dedicated to supporting our JD students and alumni as they navigate their legal careers. Our career counselors provide personalized guidance and robust support to students pursuing private sector and public interest careers:

  • Career Exploration: Career counselors meet one-on-one with students, beginning in their first semester of law school, to explore career options, discuss professional goals, develop individualized career plans, and identify relevant internship and post-graduate opportunities.
  • Review of Application Materials: Career counselors provide expert feedback on application materials, including resumes and cover letters.
  • Interview Preparation: Career counselors help students to prepare for interviews and develop interviewing skills through mock interviews.
  • Job Postings and Networking Opportunities: The CCPD provides access to job postings from legal employers in all sectors and practice areas seeking to hire Haub Law students. We also facilitate networking events and alumni connections to help students expand their professional network.
  • Professional Development Workshops: The CCPD hosts workshops and panels on career-focused topics, including resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, job searching, and succeeding in the workplace.
  • Career Resources: The CCPD offers a wealth of resources providing guidance on career paths, application materials, job searching, interviewing, and networking, among other things.
