Required course for all first year students This course is designed to teach first year students the fundamental lawyering skills of legal research, writing, citation and analysis. During the first semester, students will learn how to:
- Conduct legal research;
- Analyze and synthesize cases;
- Interpret statutes;
- Cite authorities;
- Conduct an investigatory interview of a client or witness in a way that will elicit facts important to the resolution of a case; and
- Write an objective office memorandum.
