This course examines the sources of international law regarding intangible property, as well as the interaction between the domestic law of intangible property and that of other jurisdictions. Sources considered include the Berne Convention, TRIPS, and the WIPO Copyright Treaty. Issues to be examined include jurisdiction problems, the role of the European Union, establishment and enforcement of international rights, and comparative regimes of data protection. A very brief overview of U.S. intellectual property law is included.
