From the moment she could speak, Catherine Cioffi ’12 knew that she wanted to be a journalist. “I always loved to write and engage with people. At my core I was, and still am, a storyteller,” said Catherine. While at Fordham University, Catherine majored in Communications and Journalism and minored in Political Science.

Three 2024 Haub Law graduates have been accepted into the prestigious Georgetown Law Tax LLM program. After developing a passion for tax during their studies at Haub Law, recent graduates Gilbert Romero, Abby Miscioscia, and Shelly Aucay decided to apply to the nationally ranked Georgetown Law Tax LLM program to take the next step in their education to pursue a career in tax law. With the strong foundation provided by their education at Haub Law, all three students will pursue the Tax LLM degree starting this fall.

An avid reader and world traveler, Steffen Pedersen has worked his entire legal career as a maritime lawyer in international law firms. Currently, he is working as a maritime arbitrator with a keen interest in deep sea mining. He is also a frequently published author and panelist on the topic of international arbitration and mediation, with a focus on East and South-East Asia. Steffen decided to pursue his LLM in Comparative Law at Haub Law to open the door to more opportunities in the United States in his career as an international arbitrator.

Alumnus Jessica Dubuss ’09 has been using her legal acumen and writing skills in ways she never imagined back in law school. As Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Haub, she is the law school’s chief storyteller, sharing the impressive achievements of our students, alumni and faculty across our many communications channels. In her personal life as a mom of soon to be five (!) young children, she has also tapped into her law school advocacy skills in her mission to bring diversity, equity and inclusion to her small hometown, organizing the community’s first ever PRIDE celebration among other DEI events and initiatives for youth.

Patricia (Tricia) Feighan ‘94 and her daughter, Michelle, a current 2L at Haub Law, have deep family ties to Pace. “My father, Philip B. Blank, was Associate Dean for External Affairs and Professor of Law at what was then known as Pace University School of Law,” said Tricia.

Shari B. Hochberg ’12 knew from the time she was twelve years old (if not sooner) that she wanted to be a lawyer. Choosing Haub Law due to its unique geographical location and proximity to both numerous law firms and the courts, Shari found it to be the perfect fit. Now, as a career law clerk with the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Shari shares with us why a clerkship is the best legal experience you can get and how no two-days are alike.

Donna Lanzetta ’86 grew up on Eastern Long Island surrounded by water, but it wasn’t until she was an adult that the ocean took on more than a recreational meaning in her life. “After thirty years of civil litigation culminating in stress related health issues, I decided to make a concerted effort to de-stress and eat healthier – that included major changes to my diet, including eating more seafood,” said Donna.
