Fred Mauhs spent 32 years in the banking industry before deciding to shift his focus to environmental law and completing his LLM at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Fred’s concern about climate change coupled with his love for the outdoors ultimately helped him come to the realization that he desired to use his legal skills to help avert the climate crisis.
Alumnus Eric Paulk is making strides in the fight for equality in his own home state of Georgia and making headlines, too, as one of the state’s Top 40 Leaders Under 40.
Imran H. Ansari '08 is the lead partner in charge of the civil practice in his firm, Aidala, Bertuna & Kamins PC, and has an active litigation and trial practice. He is also a weekly host on the Law & Crime Network and a weekly guest legal analyst on Court TV. Imran also appears on other networks such as CNN/HLN, Fox, CBS, and others, to provide legal commentary, along with various radio shows and podcasts to discuss legal news.
Professor Craig Hart, Executive Director of the Pace Energy and Climate Center at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, was named to the “2021 Energy & Environment Power 100” list published by City & State New York magazine. Distinguished Haub Law alumnus Basil Seggos ’01, Commissioner, State Department of Environmental Conservation, received the #1 ranking for his leadership in New York State’s climate change law.
In 2019, Lisa Denig was appointed Special Counsel for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Initiatives for the NYS Office of Court Administration, overseeing one of the most innovative programs to date in the New York Court system: the creation and implementation of Chief Judge Janet DiFiore’s initiative, the New York State Presumptive ADR Program.

The National College for DUI Defense announced the appointment of 1992 Haub Law alumnus Steven Epstein as co-chair of the newly created National Task Force Trial Advocacy Committee.
As an ambassador for students with disabilities, Daniella Harris ’21 helps to promote a more inclusive campus through her work with Hillel. She even wrote an incredibly moving article opening up about her experience with hearing loss.
Precious Hose ’20 is a first-gen student who’s passionate about a lot of things at Pace: her on-campus work (like at the Environmental Center!), criminal justice, and inspiring the next class to dream big and get involved.
