The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University announces that it will honor three distinguished professionals and a group of alumni rising stars at its 27^th Annual Law Leadership Awards Dinner to be held in person on March 10, 2022 at the Westchester Country Club.

The Biden Administration, in a virtual event that took place on Friday, January 28, recognized the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Haub Law was one of 99 law schools in 35 states and Puerto Rico who responded to the Attorney General’s Call to Action to the legal profession to address the housing and eviction crisis, and help increase housing stability and access to justice in their communities.

“Regardless of your level of wealth, you should have an estate plan,” says Bridget J. Crawford, who teaches federal income taxation; estate and gift taxation; and wills, trusts and estates at Pace University in White Plains, where she is the university distinguished professor of law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law.

Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University Professors Karl S. Coplan, Shelby D. Green, Katrina Fischer Kuh, Smita Narula, Karl R. Rábago (former professor), and Radina Valova, announce the release of their book “Climate Change Law: An Introduction" published by Edward Elgar Publishing.

“The parties are going at each other with claws,” said Bennett Gershman, a former prosecutor in the New York state anti-corruption office who teaches law at Pace University.

Pace University emeritus professor and author of "Live Sustainably Now: A Low Carbon Vision of the Good Life," Karl S. Coplan says: "A great deal of plastics 'recycling' tends to be shipped overseas or burned or even land-filled. I do not consider it worth the wash water to clean out plastic containers for recycling."

The Maxwell case would likely have a different outcome, said Pace University law professor Bennett Gershman, who has written about jury misconduct. He noted that the jury acquitted Maxwell on one of the counts, suggesting they were responsible in their deliberations. "It's something that should have been revealed, but doesn't seem to have compromised the verdict," he said.
