Pursuing Justice for Victims of Abuse

Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) provides free legal services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. As a nonprofit legal center, we help individuals in Westchester and Putnam Counties navigate the legal system and obtain services related to divorce, custody, support, financial exploitation, public benefits, and housing. Through outreach events and training programs, we raise awareness, and educate the community and professionals on best practices when working with victims of abuse.

You are not alone. Your empowerment starts with a phone call. Access our attorneys for free information and advice.

If you have been the victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or elder abuse our offices and clinic can provide legal services to help you pursue justice.

Through innovative outreach events, and training programs, we represent, mobilize, and educate. We raise awareness, share information, and train judges, police officers, attorneys, social service providers, law students, and the community on domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse issues.

We have a robust program to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers who have legal training as well as those who can contribute other skills. Externship and internship opportunities are also available for students enrolled at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.

You Are Worthy

"You are deserving of love, of respect, of being valued, of a safe place to grow and flourish and experience life with joy. If you are not getting that in a relationship, then it’s not the right place for you. If we can instill and cultivate that mindset in girls at an early age, it can help to define how their personal character develops and increase their capacity to make good, safe choices in relationships and In life.”

—Lesly Sandoval, PWCJ Client
