The IPCC has recommended furthering Climate Resilient Development (CRD) as a principal method of adapting to and mitigating climate change to achieve sustainable development for all. It has not proposed how to implement CRD. Led by students at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, the Land Use Law Center’s CRD Workshop Series provides the legal framework for implementing climate-resilient development. It offers training and resources for 40,000 local governments that have legal power to regulate private development and that experience the consequences of climate change at the ground level.
