Important Information for Law Graduates
Please note the important deadlines below for students attending commencement and plan ahead!
1. Apply for Graduation
Deadline: Monday, July 22, 2024 (passed)
More Information about graduation requirements can be found on the Office of the Registrar webpage. For inquiries about your eligibility for graduation, please contact the Registrar.
2. Register to Attend and Request Tickets for Commencement
Deadline: April 23, 2025
All graduating students will receive an email from “Tassel” — the University system used to distribute commencement tickets and to display your name during commencement. You must register to attend and request tickets for your guests on the Tassel website. The information you provide will serve as your “Stage Pass” and be used to display your name and pronunciation as you process on stage.
3. Order Graduation Regalia (cap and gown)
Deadline: April 23, 2025
All students participating in commencement are required to wear law school regalia, so please plan ahead for this purchase via Herff Jones. The cost for renting apparel (including cap, tassel, gown, and Doctorate JD hood) is approximately $115 per person. Orders placed by the deadline will be shipped to you. Students are required to return their regalia after commencement using the pre-paid label that will be provided. The tassel is yours to keep.
4. Register for Graduation Photos
Session Dates: March 5-6, 2025 - Student Lounge
Haub Law graduates are invited for professional and graduation portraits with Island Photography. Registration is required and there is a $10 sitting fee to participate. Students are charged only for their individual picture order if they choose to purchase the portraits. Students should come in business attire; graduation attire is available for the photos.
Special Requests for Alumni Participation
Alumni Hooders
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University allows a graduate to be hooded by an alumni relative during the commencement ceremony. Please note that an alumni legacy hooder must be BOTH 1) an alumnus/alumna of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, not another Pace school AND 2) an immediate relative of yours including ONLY parents, grandparents, siblings and spouses (married before graduation). Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this rule.
